$5,000 payments to women in the former United States to have babies? Let’s consider: (at least) 8.2 billion people already strain a planet of dwindling resources, amid unprecedented societal destabilisation. Yet this regime proposes to—at staggering public expense—artificially inflate the population, exacerbate the national debt (despite the GOP’s current austerity posturing), divert funds from healthcare and education, intensify housing crises, and reduce women to reproductive vessels. All so these unwanted children can inherit a world of climate catastrophe and mass impoverishment. A masterstroke from these natalist fanatics, let me tell you. Frankly, it’d be preferable to pay the majority of today’s Americans—demonstrably unfit to parent—*not* to procreate.

As far as I am concerned, this is what the majority of the American people voted for and approved, no matter how hard they may protest otherwise, and trying to pretend otherwise is futile at this point. A broken empire in severe economic decline, probably too large and unwieldy for its long-term survival, and one which is inhabited by millions of dangerous and resolutely ignorant lunatics who have embraced far-right governance even after their specific cult figurehead had already proven himself an abject failure the first time he was granted the office of the presidency, shall produce mass violence and depravity. For the record, while VP Vance has issued a generic statement condemning the attack, as of this hour I do not see that either the tawny marionette Trump or the shadow president—the South African—has said anything at all. And maybe that is just as well. With every act of homegrown terrorism, the blood of these acts is on the hands of all those who have nurtured and fostered the revival of a culture of grievance, self-pity, white supremacy, Jew-hatred, and anti-intellectualism run amok.

This is the most reprehensible and abhorrent spectacle I have ever witnessed emanating from an American President and Vice-President. The Musk regime has transformed the United States into an adversary of Ukraine and a confederate of the genocidal megalomaniac in Moscow. It would appear that the majority of Americans sanction this position if the persistent lamentations regarding financial assistance to Ukraine during President Biden's tenure serve as any barometer. I am profoundly revolted by, and mortified for, the citizenry of this wretched nation; they have facilitated this fascistic phantasmagoria.

Had the American populace harboured the sort of sentiments in the 1930s and '40s that they presently exhibit (and indeed a minority did, though nowhere approaching today's preponderance, and certainly not including the President of the United States), they would have been proffering justifications for Hitler whilst attributing culpability to the Jews, Poles, and others for their own subjugation. Scorn towards ‘childless cat ladies’ and calls for forcing women to give birth are major tenets of the Christian nationalists at the moment. A cursory scan of X (formerly Twitter) will quickly reveal thousands upon thousands of accounts of people screaming ‘we need more babies’, in spite of the fact the world has over eight billion people at present and cannot handle the load. I would like the next Vice President to tell us what he and his Christian soldiers intend to do to those of us deemed unfit for their theocratic, reality-defying utopia? He, of course, would not be completely forthcoming about what they intend to do about it, but we shall soon find out (think Auschwitz).

Why ultra-right-wing populist J.D. Vance is on the shortlist of Trump running mates

Rumour has it that J.D. Vance, the 39 y.o. Christian nationalist senator from Ohio, will be Donald Trump’s running mate. It would be a curious choice that probably would not bring one single vote to the table that Trump has not already secured. Vance is absolutely a dystopian extremist decidedly out of touch with the social and cultural views of the majority of Americans. Nominating a woman to combat Kamala Harris would seem more logical than another white male in a more sane political environment, and this is not the 1950s. 

J.D. Vance really only makes any sense if one considers who is actually doing the picking (hint, that individual sits in the Kremlin). To quote a commenter on Reddit: ‘maybe Trump should worry about why Daddy might want a pliable 39 year old a heartbeat away. He was a useful idiot, but the big orange dildo is probably way more trouble than he's worth to Putin now’.

German coronavirus protesters accused of plot to kidnap the health minister - The entire world really must be going crazy. Even in what is, today, the sanest country on earth, we still have echoes of their Nazi past and - albeit, to a lesser extent, for now - #Murica’s current reality. Only in Deutschland, I do not believe the courts will be foolish enough to acquit these individuals, as a Michigan court recently did in the case of two men charged with plotting to kidnap the governor. Trump praises tyrant Vladimir Putin as ‘very savvy’ and declares Russian aggression toward Ukraine as ‘genius,’ while millions of Americans nod in agreement

As if any further proof was needed to show that Donald Trump is a criminal, a traitor, and just not a good man. Precisely why millions of Americans love him, because he gives them free license to be the shameless, defiantly and willfully ignorant pieces of s**t that they are. Good people do not line up behind a Russian tyrant who is about to, for all intents and purposes, commit genocide on their neighbors. - 

Former President Donald J. Trump called Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine “genius” and called President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia “very savvy” for describing the troops aligned on the Ukrainian border as peacekeepers. 

Mr. Trump made his remarks on Tuesday on a conservative talk radio show hosted by Clay Travis and Buck Sexton. He praised Mr. Putin — something he did repeatedly as president and during his 2016 campaign — as well as Mr. Putin’s tactics on Ukraine. 

“Putin is now saying, ‘It’s independent,’ a large section of Ukraine. I said, ‘How smart is that?’ And he’s going to go in and be a peacekeeper,” Mr. Trump said. “That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re going to keep peace, all right. No, but think of it. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy.” 

Mr. Trump’s favorable remarks toward Mr. Putin’s aggression comes after he broke with decades of American precedent and was deferential toward Russia during his time in the White House. (Read more)
