Just a bit unhinged, perhaps? And, unlike Trump, this man is only in his thirties, so we do not have old age to account for such remarks. It is rather sad that words such as these are barely notable when the POTUS blurts out offensive statements as a matter of course.

The Great Zohran is also a Muslim, and if one does not believe such influences his views on Jewish people, then one is hopelessly naïve. 

The coarsening of American culture is inevitable when leaders fail to act like leaders. Furthermore, I believe we can have concerns about how the Israeli government and military under Netanyahu are conducting operations in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and elsewhere without resorting to rhetoric that is both inflammatory and antisemitic.

And Israel is hardly the only country on earth that hath lobbying organisations or diplomatic missions in the former United States. There is nothing inherently shady or improper about a nation representing its interests on the world stage.

Mamdani is the flip side of the same coin as Trump: rhetorical flamethrowers and populist agents of chaos posing as leaders who, in the end, achieve nothing beyond stirring division and leaving their realms poorer and weaker than before.

The Trump regime doth now prepare to demand of visitors from forty-two nations a dossier of their private selves—social media histories, phone records, and sundry other proofs that are almost impossible to assemble—before permitting entry into the former United States. It is an act of bureaucratic derangement, economically suicidal and morally shrivelled, yet far from without precedent: for every tyranny, when it begins to tremble, first builds walls—about its borders, about its people, and even about their very thoughts. One can already see the next stages materialising with grim predictability: internal passports, digital censorship, and the slow suffocation of contact with the wider world.

Mad as it is, tourism—once the nation’s great soft power and a pillar of her prosperity—shall be sacrificed without much hesitation. Trump’s rural, nationalist faithful will greet the ruin as virtue, imagining it a purgation of alien influence. ‘Purity’, in their lexicon, means exclusion: a fantasy of whiteness and dominion wherein only certain sorts of foreigners—white Afrikaners, perhaps, or those who can afford a $5 million platinum visa; rich folks will largely be exempt, of course—may pass through the gates.

But this, too, follows the pattern. Who complains more about tourists than those who greatly rely on their spending? Who wounds themselves more eagerly than the zealot who mistakes his own suffering for righteousness? We are merely witnessing the culmination of a pathology long in gestation: a civilisation so devoured by spite that it would rather collapse upon itself than concede the humanity of others.

A disquieting proportion of GOP voters are willing to embrace conceits that had long been relegated to the feverish margins of our public life—averring that the Holocaust was but a hoax, that the moon-landing was but a cunning masque, that the attacks of 9/11 were ‘an inside job’, and that vaccines be the very fountain of autism. More than half do yet maintain that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulently contrived against Donald Trump, a belief impervious to evidence and judicial review alike.

Yet more grievous still, some seventeen per cent of Republicans and Trump-aligned voters are reckoned to harbour devoutly anti-Semitic notions, a vice most sharply found among the younger cohort. Alas, among Democrats the figure rises to twenty per cent, and in both camps these numbers are growing: the future estate of Jewish safety and dignity within the former United States standeth, by any sober measure, in most ominous and perilous uncertainty.

And let us not forget: there is every reason to assume that a certain proportion of those surveyed were not wholly candid about the extremity of their convictions. This is invariably the case—in polling, in public discourse, and in the unguarded corners of daily life. Always. The past decade or so, during which so many individuals’ true colours have bled through with startling clarity, hath rendered this truth almost painfully obvious; only now, instead of recoiling from the rot thus exposed, most appear content to embrace it.

Nihilism rules the day, and we stand a long, long way from any conceivable moment—if such a moment will ever come—when the tide may turn back toward the relative sanity and civic composure once enjoyed in the America of earlier decades. One might say this equilibrium reached its apogee in the 1980s and 1990s; and though I freely concede that my judgement may be coloured by the fact that I grew up in those years, it remains, by any rational assessment, a period in which the nation was stronger, its people more resilient, and American power at its undisputed zenith. My instincts tell me that we now inhabit the terminal stages of the republic, and that optimism hath little remaining soil in which to grow.

And what, then, is to become of this fractured multitude, all these bloody people, when the edifice finally collapses outright? A nation whose citizens despise one another is singularly ill-equipped to weather a total societal unravelling; indeed, even the most harmonious civilisation would struggle to withstand the gathering HELL into which the former United States is, day by day, further descending.

Roger Waters could face prosecution in the UK after voicing support for the proscribed terrorist organisation Palestine Action—Enough, Roger. Stand down: you're in your eighties, and your reckless antisemitism (he can deny he hates Jews until he is blue in the face, he does) and misguided sympathy for the rank-and-file Palestinians who have been enabling Islamist extremist since Israel's founding and well before that even—have already cost David Gilmour and the Pink Floyd brand countless millions in recent years. Do not pursue martyrdom; exit the public stage and spend your remaining years in quiet retirement, and stop sullying the name and image of a legendary and noble brand. {Euronews 9 July}

Meanwhile, in her latest address, Leader of the Opposition Kemi Badenoch has insulted disabled Britons and dared disgruntled Tories to defect to Reform UK. How much longer will the British people—and her own Conservative Party—tolerate this woman, of all people, branding a fair portion of them as lazy and appointing herself the supreme arbiter of British values? I do not even live in the UK (though I do not mind one bit imparting the truth that I am far more British by blood than a sizable share of modern British nationals, and certainly Kemi Badenoch) but listening to her spew this bile makes my blood boil. All she has achieved is accelerating the slow suicide of one of the world’s oldest and most storied political parties. Frankly, I could not care less if anyone takes issue with my tone. Every remaining reasonably minded individual in the former United States who continues to value Israel and the Jewish people as friends—Democrat, Republican, or otherwise, all dwindling in number—must, at this very instant, forcefully reaffirm their unwavering solidarity. Antisemitism is running rampant across the political spectrum, and it is rapidly becoming perilous for Jews to merely exist in this dying nation. The West as a whole is being consumed by the same ancient hatred that birthed the Holocaust. Europe has been gradually succumbing to its Islamised hordes for the past two decades, yet until very recently America offered a safe haven, its populace overwhelmingly in support of Israel’s right to exist. A dramatic shift has undeniably occurred: a dark energy has taken root in hearts and minds.

As far as I am concerned, this is what the majority of the American people voted for and approved, no matter how hard they may protest otherwise, and trying to pretend otherwise is futile at this point. A broken empire in severe economic decline, probably too large and unwieldy for its long-term survival, and one which is inhabited by millions of dangerous and resolutely ignorant lunatics who have embraced far-right governance even after their specific cult figurehead had already proven himself an abject failure the first time he was granted the office of the presidency, shall produce mass violence and depravity. For the record, while VP Vance has issued a generic statement condemning the attack, as of this hour I do not see that either the tawny marionette Trump or the shadow president—the South African—has said anything at all. And maybe that is just as well. With every act of homegrown terrorism, the blood of these acts is on the hands of all those who have nurtured and fostered the revival of a culture of grievance, self-pity, white supremacy, Jew-hatred, and anti-intellectualism run amok.

What the living f**k!? My predominant heritage from England—which is to say, an Anglo-Saxon and Celtic mutt, the former being Germanic in origin and also long-dominant in the UK, and the latter absorbing at least traces of Germanic influence over the centuries—alongside my notable and relatively recent ancestral ties to Germany and Denmark via grand-grandparents (and a grandmother from Ireland on my maternal side, but that and some Scottish lineage just mixes in within my inherent Celtic influence via England. My majority blood and my soul are Anglo-Saxon, and I most identify with England and Germany). So, that long-winded introduction aside, I am unquestionably well-positioned to comment as someone of predominantly Germanic descent. Our people, as a collective, committed an unforgivable atrocity against humanity during the 1930s and 1940s, an offence so grievous that it cannot and should not be forgotten.

In the broader expanse of history, those decades were but moments ago—mere blinks in the eye of time. “Get over ‘past guilt’”? We’ve scarcely even begun to atone for the immeasurable wrongs inflicted upon the Jewish people. That was no ordinary crime; it was an act of calculated, incomprehensible hatred—one that demands a reckoning far beyond what has yet been achieved.

You, sir, who dismiss this history with such cavalier arrogance, demonstrate an unforgivable ignorance of the weight of these events. The world has long been teetering on the brink of chaos, but now the descent appears inexorable. World War III looms perilously close, and yet such callousness persists. The Muscovites' nascent comprehension of Trump’s perfidious nature portends grave ramifications all around

“(A)cting like a hooligan that hasn’t gotten a beating in a long time.” Russian state television pundits have expressed their dismay—to put it mildly—over Trump’s threats of tariffs and further sanctions should Putin fail to withdraw from Ukraine promptly. While I endorse the imposition of stringent economic measures against them, the Russians are having to come to terms with the fact that Trump is loyal to neither man nor cause, and will turn on anyone at the slightest provocation. The Russians, as any scholar of history would recognise, truly detest being made to appear foolish, and will not hesitate to exact violent retribution upon those who dare to humiliate them. Nazi Germany found this out, in an exceedingly brutal and inhumane manner. 

Trump’s supporters among the American public are focused on domestic matters and are willing to tolerate any action he takes, provided it results in the suffering of fellow Americans. However, the Russians will not be so accommodating of such duplicitous behaviour, and this will likely exacerbate the pain and hardship inflicted upon the Ukrainian people—though, of course, this is of no consequence to Trump, whose sole aim is self-aggrandisement as ever. I repeat, the people of #Murica have no bloody clue what they have wrought by returning this s**tbag to power; and they shall steadfastly refuse to ever acknowledge, even when the nukes start flying, so blinded are they by their unbridled malevolence against their countrymen and their inherent lack of intelligence and character. I’ve long said that the top priority of Donald Trump and his millions of cult-like followers is to dominate the culture and force their fellow citizens to conform to their will. Criticising him is already dangerous to one’s health in certain areas of this country, or in certain circles, and shall soon outright become illegal everywhere. Pay attention to the way his devout supporters speak: they genuinely want all Americans on their side and react with venomous rage to even the slightest criticism. They see any attack on him as a personal attack on themselves, and like him, they are highly sensitive and willfully ignorant. The United States now revolves around one man, Donald J. Trump, and those of us who refuse to bend the knee to him are in serious trouble. Better pay attention, because he is telling us what he is going to do: millions will be repressed, and millions more are perfectly fine with that. Dark days lie ahead.

Whether it was before (a debate for another day, obviously we weren’t always saints), America in 2024 is undeniably becoming a blatantly and openly evil, repressive, and antisemitic nation. Beyond being a bloody outrage and a national disgrace, it personally repulses me to the point of feeling physically ill. It is also terrifying beyond the comprehension of those of us who grew up in times of greater peace, prosperity, and personal liberty (pre-9/11). For years, I have endured intense prophecies of a neo-Nazi state, and it is all coming together just as I envisioned. People continue to so gravely disappoint me. Remember, the numbers cited by the ADL are just what has been reported. If extraordinary measures must be taken to prevent national suicide, then so be it: The Biden campaign needs to launch an an all-out, all encompassing PR assault on the bloody imbeciles of #Murica, putting the fear of God into them against restoring Trump

President Biden and his people urgently need to initiate a comprehensive public relations campaign, aiming to instill a sense of urgency and gravity over the repercussions of voting for Donald Trump, or most any GOP candidate on the ballot, this fall. Alas, I see scant evidence of this happening to a necessary-enough degree, and the MSM is not helping matters with its constant doom and gloom coverage of this White House.

The widespread and increasing animosity towards Israel and the Jewish people has stirred a significant portion of the left to oppose the president. Moreover, a considerable portion of the remaining population are misinformed, oft harbouring malice and attaching themselves to #Cult45. Additionally, the Department of Justice hath lamentably failed in its duty to dispense justice: Trump should have been incarcerated, at the very least, three years hence, following J6. The man incited a most egregious insurrection, and the indifference displayed is alarming, mayhap even from President Biden himself. Adhering strictly to conventional norms and taking the high road hath not yielded positive results for Mr. Biden, nor for those of us who have been steadfast in supporting him.

Donald Trump's presidency from 2017 to 2021 was a calamity on most fronts - even if he had performed perfectly otherwise, the grossly incompetent mishandling of the COVID pandemic would be a sole factor to forever disqualify him from any leadership henceforth (I would not entrust the man to oversee a Target or Walmart location). With 91 felony charges pending against him and his dubious association with America's worst adversary, Vladimir Putin, Trump's legal woes incessantly dominate the news. Despite all this, too many Americans are apathetic, allowing him to remain a credible contender for re-election. 

Is this the image we desire to present to the world? Do we find contentment in being viewed as a jest amongst nations? We are going on, approximately, our third decade of being the most despised country on earth; remember, the world hated George W. Bush, and Mr. Bush is most decidedly a very benign figure in comparison to the useless golden boy that immediately followed him in office, and, verily, in comparison to Donald Trump.

I would advise President Biden that the extreme factions on both the right and left of America already harbour disdain for him and will support Trump or enable his return, regardless. Instead, I suggest Mr. Biden should give these various folks something to really hate him over. If the political centre is to hold, Mr. Biden must reach out to those who are still reachable but are not actively engaged and all too susceptible to outdated 'it's the economy, stupid' rhetoric; along with those millions who abstain from voting or paying any attention altogether. It is imperative to continually remind Americans how awfully Donald Trump performed as president during those four years. Because, at the moment, it appears a whole lot of them may be suffering from amnesia and chronic fatigue. 

Our national security, Social Security, individual liberties, and even our very lives are at stake, yet we appear paralyzed and disoriented. If President Biden must take unconventional measures to prevent national suicide, I will support him wholeheartedly. He may never be Mr. Popularity, and that is more than acceptable to him so long as he serves honourably and begins the process of cleaning up all the filth polluting this land.

The eclipse comes and goes, and #Qanon and various groups appear to be embarrassed once more. Do they care? Do they still ‘trust the plan’? (Short answer: the only ‘plan’ is hating and hurting Jews, and every single follower is aware of it)

The eclipse has passed, and no new catastrophe has emerged, once again leaving the tin foil hat-wearing 'Pepe' crowd with egg on their faces. Do the 'trust the plan' #Qanon enthusiasts still ‘trust the plan’? Sadly, the answer remains 'yes', as there is a complete lack of shame and dignity at all times with these people.

All the trappings we see from these folks - the many slogans, the idolization of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, the stupid frog, the fixation on pedophiles and child trafficking - are thinly veiled cover for their one overriding purpose: hating and disempowering Jews. It matters zero to them if their ‘plan’ is grounded in reality; they are fervent Christian nationalists with a severely distorted sense of reality, and a highly tuned antipathy to all who do not believe as they do.

That said, every #Cult45 acolyte knows, deep down, that Donald Trump did not win the 2020 presidential election, and Trump and his enablers know he did not win; they shout 'Trump won' in our faces as a form of abuse, not because anybody thinks it is true. #Cult45 will be proven wrong time and time again, and every time they will only intensify their hatreds and willful delusions. It is organized insanity in service of neo-Nazism and white supremacy. 

Do not underestimate the absurdity and cruelty these committed fanatics are willing to perpetrate. Despite their willful delusion regarding specific details, their profound fear and hatred of the Jewish people remain unwavering in the grand scheme of things. This hatred is as ancient as time itself, a malignant cancer that will likely endure for hundreds and thousands of years to come - assuming the world still stands, but I digress.

MORE ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE THAT ANTI-SEMITISM AND CONSPIRACISM ARE GOING MAINSTREAM IN #MURICA

If there was ever a disheartening indication to me that humanity is facing dark times, it was today's discovery that a former girlfriend of mine - once the epitome of sweetness and kindness, with whom I shared many years - now disseminates QAnon conspiracy theories and virulent anti-Semitic content on her Twitter (X) account. I had been aware since 2016 of her support for Trump. We parted ways in 2017, partly due to our political disparities (i.e., even the most rational of Trump supporters morph into big babies whenever their idol is criticised). However, I never could have imagined that this woman would eventually embrace such ancient, hateful beliefs as the blood libel.

Trumpism is an incremental mental disorder, one that typically starts off innocently enough for most, but ultimately consumes the hearts and minds of its followers, leading towards hateful ideologies such as Nazism. However, it's not just Trump supporters who exhibit concerning tendencies; it is all the leftists who are quick to blame Israel and our own government for the actions of Islamist extremists, true to their long-standing and petulant refusal of over twenty years to acknowledge the true threat posed by Islamist terrorists.Anti-Semitism is becoming increasingly prevalent across the political spectrum, and it achieves no positive outcomes or offers any solutions except more hate and violence.

Large segments of the American populace are increasingly turning against Israel, blaming the victims and siding with the oppressors (Hamas), while simultaneously Vladimir Putin's popularity among Americans soars along with anti-Ukrainian sentiment. What kind of monsters are Americans becoming? I find it increasingly difficult to recognize this nation and much of its populace, and genuinely feel as though I am trapped in a bizarre fever dream. Unfortunately, these dire circumstances will only worsen, particularly as the younger generations come of age, their brains addled by (among other things) video games and Tik Tok. The irreversible decline and eventual disintegration of the United States are inevitable now, as the election of 2016 opened the Gates of Hades. There is no saviour in sight to prevent our self-inflicted demise (if America is the new Babylon of prophecy, as I’ve long suspected, then the Bible tells us that God is not going to save it); nobody will be left to pick up the shattered pieces when the inevitable collapse occurs.

The left-hand washing the right-hand: The epidemic of anti-Israeli and anti-Jew sentiment on the hard-left helps no one of goodwill, only tyrants

The anti-Semitic, anti-Israel faction of the Democratic Party must be silenced without delay, beginning yesterday. We have literal Nazis with designs on reclaiming the White House, and they hold a potent position in Congress. Half the land doth mindlessly lament President Biden's age, the enduring presence of COVID (as I have personally encountered of late), and a multitude of other quandaries. Yet these left-wing nutjobs wouldst instead point accusatory fingers, espouse conspiracy theories, and weep for repressive individuals who would not hesitate to slay them (and the rest of us) without a second thought. Verily, if these leftists are to extend their sympathy to a bunch of Islamist barbarians, why do they not shed tears for the plight of the ordinary Trump-supporting fellow (#Cult45)? Those fools probably hate any American to the left of Attila the Hun more than any Islamist half a world away, yet these bloody leftists cry for these foreign murderers. In a circuitous manner, here is precisely what hath transpired: The left-hand once more washes the right-hand, and all of you expressing support for the ‘Palestinians’ - however well-intentioned or not one may be - are falling for these lies, hook, line, and sinker. You are helping Donald Trump to reclaim the White House, and thine hands art stained with blood! Cast not Israel as a scapegoat, nor lay blame upon the Jews. #StandWithIsrael and stand against barbarism and repression.

At the point where I’m preemptively blocking anyone on social media (predominately on Twitter) promoting Bitcoin, Pepe the Frog and the assorted neo-fascist weirdos and Jew-haters on the far-right, the self-proclaimed socialist authoritarians and ‘free Palestine’ Jew-haters on the hard-left, grifters of any sort (such as the douchebags making a living of telling others how to live), ‘stan’ accounts of inane pseudo-celebrities, the anime freaks, all the gutter trash porn that has zero sex appeal whatsoever, the appalling lack of respect for President Biden, the traditionalist types bemoaning everything about modern society as they play with their cell phones all day and night, the ‘s**tposters’: Need I go on? Who else am I missing? About 95% or more of social media - which still could have such great potential if used properly - is garbage. I am here for the handful who actually have something worthwhile to say, or something of interest to share; for those who are at least trying to work for solutions, instead of becoming the problem as these assorted sickos have. As much of a misanthrope as yours truly can be many times, I do not want to bear witness to genocide in my land and time …

Just about every society in history that has been an autocracy to one degree or another has failed, and these idiots are willing to repeat that tragic history in order to satiate their bloodlust, envy, and bitterness. To justify the vital lies they’ve been fed that their innate confirmation bias holds them slaves to; hence why Trump’s fervent supporters remain so pathetically fervent. Or why televangelist crooks will always get away with siphoning money from their desperate followers. All the while as too many of these people - left and right - are hailing Vladimir Putin, and the slaughter of the Ukrainian people, as well as calling for pogroms against unfavored groups here at home. Leave me out of that nation-killing, soul-destroying nonsense. At least 95% of everyone who uses social media can kiss my royal a**, for real. True colors have come through the past seven years, terminal cancer has set in, and Americans have nobody to blame but themselves.

A country going to Hell in a handbasket: Hasidic Jew brutally assaulted in NYC, and extremism becomes the ‘new normal’ in #Murica

The ‘traditional’ crowd on Twitter and across social media. Ultra-right-wing, ultra-nationalist (some even adopting the ‘Fascist’ label), openly racist, misogynist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, and basically calling for anyone who doesn’t think like them to be made to conform - always implicitly suggested, but the language now is becoming more direct and blatant. Yearning for a glorious past that was never as glorious or as simple as they imagine. So willing to wage hell on earth in order to enforce this return to antiquity. So zealous of their ‘free speech,’ yet so eager and willing to impose ideological purity on all. In whole, more than a tad scary that all these fringe groups on the extremes are more influential than they've, perhaps, ever been in America. At least since the 1930s, and there were periods of extremism throughout the 19th and early 20th Centuries. The stakes have never been higher, and one who downplays the threat of political extremism does so at our peril. 

Extremism is coming from all directions in the U.S. today, but the nationalist populist/neo-Fascist contingent is the most numerous of these fringe factions, all of whom are dangerous; after the insurrection of January 6, 2021, they have become the most dangerous and most serious in their intentions. Without question, they are the most conspiracy-minded, and the ones most given to cultism. And ask any of them, and every single one will say we’re all the crazy ones and they are sane. How is greater society ever going to reason with these people, especially as they become a greater percentage of the overall population? How are we going to even continue to have a civil society when everybody hates each other and nobody can agree on what reality is? We’re doomed, and it’s the very people who believe they are saving us - populists, religious zealots, cable TV talking heads, white supremacists, black nationalists, neo-Marxists, etc. - and their many acolytes that are showing themselves to be our undoing.
